Meet the 2010 Mardi Gras Ball Monarch Candidates

      Mr. Doug Houghton
Doug is excited about working with The Little Jim Club this year because he feels it is everyone's responsibility to improve their community through service to that community.  Doug's most important role is as a dad to his six-year-old daughter, Bella.  In his professional life, Doug is a Vice President at CRESA Partners and helps companies find and lease office space.  He is a seasoned professional and works with each client to understand their company and build a mutual trust to provide a personalized plan to meet their corporate real estate needs.  Doug is very active with the SF Chamber of Commerce and has served in various leadership and speaking roles on behalf of the Chamber.  He enjoys golf, running, cooking and lives in San Francisco with his partner, Emily.  To contribute to Mr. Houghton's campaign for Monarch, click here Donations

     Ms. Stacey Lamirand     Stacey's Event at Orson - Tickets and Info

Stacey Lamirand is thrilled to be a Monarch candidate for the Little Jim Club! The programs funded by the club make such a huge impact in the lives of children and their family,making it fulfilling and exciting to participate in such an organization.  Stacey’s past volunteer and fundraisingefforts include the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Women’s Recovery Association, San Francisco Suicide Prevention, San Francisco Aids Walk, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters and the American Lung Association.  As a Realtor with Zephyr Real Estate, Stacey works with clients in both Marin and

San Francisco. She is a member of the Marin and San Francisco Chapters of the Women’s Council of Realtors, the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing and she has earned her credentials as a Senior Real EstateSpecialist.  Stacey received her MBA from Seattle University and her BA from Texas Tech University.  All three of her children were born at CPMC, as well as both of her nieces.      Dr. Steven Martel
Dr. Steven Martel was a math and science teacher prior to studying medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Vermont and pediatric residency training at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Martel served as the Director of Critical Care Pediatric and Neonatal Transport and Assistant Chief of the Pediatric Hospitalist Division at California Pacific /Medical Center. Dr. Martel is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and was recently elected to the Chapter Board as a Member-at-Large. Ms. Pearl McFarland

Ms. McFarland currently serves on a board of director’s as vice president for an International and national children’s charity. She is a long time donor to The Little Jim Club and has dedicated the last ten years to pediatric philan-thropy. After accepting her invitation to run as a Monarch Candidate and fundraise, she was further inspired and moved meeting the children receiving benefits and services from The Little Jim Club. Professionally, she has held several business management positions with top world-class consulting firms and high-tech companies. She is currently vice president of marketing and sales for a San Francisco-based consulting firm. She and her husband are avid skiers & scuba divers.
